Люцифер, 1 сезон

Люциферпервый сезон не совсем понимал, каким он должен быть. Он все еще пытался определить соотношение между реалистичными и мистическими элементами в шоу. Казалось, что был дисбаланс. Например, сюжетная линия «грязного полицейского» казалась странной для сериала, посвященного мистическим элементам. Это не соответствовало целям Люцифера как персонажа. Lucifer season 6 plot: What will happen?

A LOT went down in part b of season five, so much so that you might need a little refresher, plus how it sets up season six. Luckily, we dive into all of that right here, so fill your boots.

Fans didn’t take long to theorise about a potential big twist for everyone’s favourite demonic couple, Deckerstar.

Writer Chris Rafferty has now spoken out about making one big change for Chloe (Lauren German), telling Neural Cluster: «I’m so happy you enjoyed that turn. I love it, because I love change in stories.

«To be honest, I don’t remember when we decided to have Chloe leave the force. As we were breaking these episodes in the writers room, remember: we thought season 5 was the end of the show. So we could entertain ideas for bigger changes and not worry about how that would affect future seasons.»

As for how this will play out in the sixth and final season, Rafferty teased: «Luckily, you can’t take the detective out of Chloe, and we had no trouble finding the narrative drive for the stories in our final season arc.

«If anything, it pushed us to be more creative than ever. Our ‘cases’ will be more personal than ever, allowing us to really focus on our main cast of characters as we approach the end.»

At first, Henderson and Modrovich almost turned down a sixth season. Speaking to EW, they explained that they had already plotted out the series finale.

«It was very, very similar to when we went from 10 episodes to 16,» Henderson said. » like, ‘No, this is perfect. If we do this, it’ll ruin everything! Then three days later, you’re like, ‘Wait, how could we not have done this?'»

Extra episodes gave them the opportunity to dive deeper into the show’s mythology than ever and «really explore how our characters end up where they ended up». When asked if a seventh season could ever happen, Henderson and Modrovich explained why season six is definitely their «last story».

«It’s the story we were always going to tell, but just written much larger and to me so much more interestingly that it breaks my heart to think we weren’t going to do it this way,» Henderson said.

Modrovich added that «one giant story» will play out in season six «that just needed to be told» and that this addition is «what really stuck the landing for us».

Since then, the pair also spoke to ET about their plans to incorporate real-world social issues in the final season. «When we got back to the (writers’) room, we started looking at the fact that we’re a cop show and in what ways have we contributed or not addressed the systemic issues of the police department,» said Modrovich, the episode’s writer.

«And we decided we wanted to speak to it. So we’re actually doing a story that speaks directly to it, and we’re super excited about it.»

The news that Netflix had signed off on a sixth season solved a significant season five narrative problem the showrunners were having, according to executive producer Mike Costa (via Assignment X).

«As Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich have said previously in interviews, and this really is true, we realised that we were kind of rushing the end of the show,» he said.

As they were writing it, both were concerned about the «very small» space that they’d been given to wrap it all up.

He added: «Ildy in particular…was almost relieved and thought, ‘Well, good, because I am cramming way too much into these four or five scenes. There is really stuff that should be explored better.'»

It’s good that the show is getting a proper send-off, as star Tom Ellis really won’t be back for any more episodes afterwards (via WeGotThisCovered).

«Six seasons of the show is a real achievement,» Ellis said. «It’s been a huge emotional journey and I don’t think I want to do any more. I know I don’t want to do anymore. Mainly because I wanna know that we’re ending and because I’ve had such a great time. I think it’s only fitting that we have a proper ending to the show.»

Lucifer season 6 cast: Who’s coming back?

Before season six was even confirmed, Tom Ellis’ continued involvement was a big talking point online. But eventually, all of the chatter died down when it was confirmed that he would indeed be back.

Showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich also returned for season six, and here’s a list of the rest of the major players involved:

• Lauren German as Chloe• Lesley-Ann Brandt as Maze• Rachael Harris as Linda Martin• Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez• Scarlett Estevez as Trixie Espinoza• DB Woodside as Amenadiel, among others.

There was a tragedy for Dan Espinoza in season five part b after Lucifer’s twin Michael ordered his murder, but Kevin Alejandro has said that despite his character’s demise, that episode will «definitely not the last you’re going to see of Dan».

«It could be through flashbacks, it could be through trying to decide what’s going on,» he told ET Online. «I was on set a little bit in season six, so he’s coming back… just not the way everyone thinks he’s coming back.

«I would describe season six as a genuine homage to what we’ve created from the beginning. There are throwbacks and clues to other episodes that only if you’ve followed our journey from the beginning you’ll pick up on.

«It was a genuine homage, not only to what we created, but to, I think what you guys, what the fans, what our audience, expects.»

Alejandro also told Entertainment Weekly that the decision «did feel right. And it still feels right».

He added: «Look, we’ve been given the opportunity to go out how we want to go out, keeping the respect for our audience and for the world that has already been created since the beginning.

«They’ve done a really elegant job of continuing to tell the story.»

We also know that Henderson is going to be popping up as a cameo in the future, although we don’t know exactly when. And Alejandro also sat in the director’s chair for episode nine, ‘Goodbye, Lucifer’.

«I am SUPER EXCITED to announce our new director for 609… @kevinmalejandro! Team #SpoilerAlert together again!!!» wrote series writer Chris Rafferty.

Tweeting about the episode itself, Rafferty said: «After these six years, I’m deeply honoured to have written #Lucifer’s penultimate episode. And deeply satisfied THIS is the script I get to say goodbye to these characters with.

«To those panicking: You have NO idea what this title means. Don’t assume ANYTHING.

«Also… trust us.»

Lucifer season 6 release date

Netflix has set the Lucifer season 6 release date for Friday, September 10.

The news was announced July 24 at Comic-Con @ Home 2021 during a panel featuring Tom Ellis, Joe Henderson, and Ildy Modrovich. The cast and crew already wrapped filming last spring.

Lucifer season 6 wasn’t supposed to happen at all. This truly is the show that couldn’t die. It was resurrected twice after being canceled first by Fox, then by Netflix after season 5. However, Lucifer pulled off some kind of hellish magic, because the streamer reversed its decision and ordered one last season (supposedly for real this time).

The Lucifer season 6 trailer kicks off with the titular devil being question by LAPD Detective Carol Corbett. At some point, he asks Lucifer his age … how impolite! A fallen angel never reveals his number.

The rest of the trailer previews Lucifer’s struggle with his new position as God. He even returns to therapist Linda’s couch. Things on Earth are getting a wee bit apocalyptic. The laws of nature are breaking down and nobody (not even an all-powerful being) knows how it’s going to end.

Lucifer season 6 cast

The cast of Lucifer is led by Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, the Lord of Hell. When he becomes bored with his life, he becomes a civilian consultant for the Los Angeles Police Department and runs a high-end nightclub called Lux.

Ellis also portrays Lucifer’s twin brother, Michael, who takes his place when Lucifer returns to Hell.

Other Lucifer cast members include:

• Lauren German as Detective Chloe Decker, Lucifer’s LAPD partner
• D. B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Lucifer’s older brother
• Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, a demon friend of Lucifer who works as a bartender at Lux
• Scarlett Estevez as Beatrice «Trixie» Espinoza, Chloe and Dan’s daughter
• Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, Lucifer’s therapist and and mother to Amenadiel’s son Charlie
• Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez, a  forensic scientist for the LAPD
• Inbar Lavi as Eve, the world’s first human and Lucifer’s former lover
• Scott Porter as Carol Corbett, an LAPD detective

One series regular who may become recurring is Kevin Alejandro as Detective Daniel «Dan» Espinoza, an LAPD detective and Chloe’s ex-husband. The character died in season 5B and is currently in Hell. Of course, as we’ve seen, that isn’t always permanent.

A couple of new Lucifer cast members are coming on board. Merrin Dungey is playing Sonya, a figure at the L.A. Police Academy who will interact with Amenadiel, who will be studying at the academy. 

Then, there’s Brianna Hildebrand, who is an angel named Rory.

• Lucifer was previously scheduled to resume production the week of Jan. 11 2021 however on December 31, 2020 Warner Bros. Television had to push the production return date for their series that had been slated to resume filming in Los Angeles next week and the following week to maintain COVID protocols and to allow for a 10-day quarantine of those who had traveled for the holidays per LA County guidelines.
• The events of this season take place between March and August 2020.
• This is the only season that the entire main cast was in every episode.
• This is the first season since Season 1 that Jeremiah Birkett didn’t appear as Lee Garner
• This is the only season that Lucifer Morningstar didn’t refer to Dan Espinoza as «Detective Douche».
• It makes sense that Rory appears right at the end of episode one; she was conceived right before that moment.
• Throughout the season, Rory’s clothes reflect her emotional state; she starts off with punk rock clothing consulting of metal accessories and leather, but it changes to more casual stuff.

Сюжет

Аменадиэль продолжает свою стажировку в качестве новобранца, и на месте преступления он оказывается ответственным за расследование детектива Рейбена, который напал на Калеба и Аменадиэля во время патрулирования. У Аменадиэля сильное предубеждение к этому человеку, которого он считает поверхностным в расследовании. Lucifer season 6 cast

The cast of Lucifer is led by Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, the Lord of Hell. When he becomes bored with his life, he becomes a civilian consultant for the Los Angeles Police Department and runs a high-end nightclub called Lux.

Ellis also portrays Lucifer’s twin brother, Michael, who takes his place when Lucifer returns to Hell.

Other Lucifer cast members include:

• Lauren German as Detective Chloe Decker, Lucifer’s LAPD partner
• D. B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Lucifer’s older brother
• Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, a demon friend of Lucifer who works as a bartender at Lux
• Scarlett Estevez as Beatrice «Trixie» Espinoza, Chloe and Dan’s daughter
• Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, Lucifer’s therapist and and mother to Amenadiel’s son Charlie
• Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez, a  forensic scientist for the LAPD
• Inbar Lavi as Eve, the world’s first human and Lucifer’s former lover
• Scott Porter as Carol Corbett, an LAPD detective

One series regular who may become recurring is Kevin Alejandro as Detective Daniel «Dan» Espinoza, an LAPD detective and Chloe’s ex-husband. The character died in season 5B and is currently in Hell. Of course, as we’ve seen, that isn’t always permanent.

A couple of new Lucifer cast members are coming on board. Merrin Dungey is playing Sonya, a figure at the L.A. Police Academy who will interact with Amenadiel, who will be studying at the academy. 

Then, there’s Brianna Hildebrand, who is an angel named Rory.
