Netflix doesn’t dub a movie or a series sometimes and streams it in the original language only, however, it isn’t the same with Troll. Even though the streaming platform hasn’t released any teaser or trailer in the English language, we can stream it in the English language. Troll is a fantastic film that was released at the worst possible time of year. This is an all-around hot summer blockbuster that, in its most basic form, is a Scandinavian Kaiju film. It combines aspects of King King, Godzilla, and Independence Day to create an easy-going, entertaining, action-packed movie. The Norwegian legend of trolls is ingrained, and this Netflix Original makes full use of it. Has a quick-moving storyline and a few hints of humor.
The plot centers on a group of outcasts who get together to try to stop a terrifying beast from wreaking devastation across the nation. An explosion deep in the Dovre mountains shakes the region, releasing a massive beast that terrorizes the locals and terrorizes the agricultural environment.
This monstrosity sets its sights on Oslo and begins a deliberate journey there, destroying everything on its route. It’s up to Paleobiology specialist Nora Tidemann, Prime Minister’s advisor Andreas Isaksen, and Army Captain Kris to try to find a solution before it’s too late to avert inevitable devastation. Tobias, Nora’s father, who is the local expert in folklore and Trolls, further complicates matters. The only issue is that Nora and her insane father are alienated from one another, which might cause problems. However, can they put aside their disagreements in order to tackle Norway’s ongoing issue?
All of the characters are endearing but not especially complex. Nora and Tobias serve as the story’s glue, while Captain Kris, who plays the gum-chewing military man, gives Andreas a straightforward but fulfilling journey.
The problem with Troll is that it uses doubtful logic and a repeated narrative. There are certain sequences in this that WE’ve already described that were directly lifted from other monster movies. Godzilla references may be seen in the discovery of a large footprint, the vibrations that cause the water to move in Jurassic Park, and the giant beast fending off helicopters in King Kong.
This is the kind of movie where the logic breaks down and you’re going to have a miserable time if you even stop to consider it for a second. The fact that no foreign governments are engaged is a major bone of contention, and even more damaging, Kris doesn’t really receive a convincing finish in the movie.
Troll is still a good movie in spite of all of that. It’s a huge, popcorn-eating movie that screams to be released in theaters during the height of summer. But even as it is, this is still a beautiful winter scene and a good way to pass an hour and a half.

While in the palace, Nora discovers that the troll skeletons disintegrate under her ultraviolet flashlight. Aha! That’s it! Trolls can not be in UV light, aka direct sunlight. This particular troll has only been out on cloudy days, which is why it has not yet been turned to stone. Clouds block UV rays! And Norway is very cloudy!
Nora relays this information to her military buddy Kris. The military had been planning to nuke the troll, and also nuke the city of Oslo in the process. (They at least evacuated the city first.) But Kris gets a team of soldiers to help him create a UV-light troll trap: They lure the troll into the trap using the skull of a baby troll from the palace’s dungeon. They corner the troll in a circle of UV light before the nuke is launched. While watching the troll suffer under the artificial UV light, Nora changes her mind and begs the military to spare the troll’s life. But it’s too late—the clouds part, and the real sun comes out. The troll turns to stone, resembling nothing more than a rock on the hill. In the movie’s final scene, Nora and Andreas wonder aloud if there are more trolls out there.

What Is Troll on Netflix About?
Growing up, Nora Tidemman (played by Ine Marie Wilmann) was always told stories by her father about the trolls that lived in the Norwegian mountains. Father and daughter spent years together searching for the mythical creatures—until Nora grew up and realized her father was a bit too obsessed with this fairytale. Nora pursued a career as a paleontologist and her father Tobias (Gard B. Eidsvold) became a reclusive, eccentric old man.
Then one day there is a horrible accident in the mountains of Dovre. While drilling a tunnel through the mountain, workers and protestors are killed by a mysterious creature. The Norwegian government recruits Nora to help track down the creature. (It’s not clear why the government does this—maybe they think it’s a dinosaur?) Nora—alongside the Prime Minister’s advisor Andreas (Kim Falck) and military captain Kristoffer Holm (Mads Sjøgård Pettersen)—must turn to Nora’s father for help.
Although no one wants to believe it at first, the creature is, indeed, a troll. It, therefore, follows at least some of the rules of Norwegian troll mythology. Fortunately, Nora’s father is an expert in Norwegian troll mythology. Unfortunately, he is killed when the army confronts the troll, shoots it, and causes the troll to go into an Iron Giant-esque rampage. Using a clue from her father’s notes, Nora pays a visit to the Norwegian king, aka the Chief of Court. The king reveals that his palace was built on top of the Troll King’s palace, after the Christians massacred all of the trolls. All of the trolls, that is, except for one.

Тролли – это маленькие и совершенно безобидные существа. Они постоянно пребывают в радостном расположении духа, поскольку привыкли радоваться жизни. Любая мелочь может стать для них поводом для веселья. И поэтому в небольшом поселении, в котором проживают только тролли, всегда льются песни. Местные жители безумно любят танцевать и петь. Нередко они даже устраивают специальные соревнования, целью которых является выявление лучшего исполнителя или танцора. Но даже проигрыш никого из них попросту не может расстроить.
Их полной противоположностью являются бергены. Эти существа постоянно ходят угрюмые. Они практически никогда не улыбаются и испытывают гнетущее чувство грусти на протяжении всей жизни. Только одно их может порадовать. И это вкусный обед, который они организуют всего лишь один раз в год. Казалось бы, что ничего страшного в этом нет. Но беда в том, что в пищу они употребляют вовсе не растения или мясо, а троллей. Разумеется, из-за этого эти два народа постоянно враждуют.
Чтобы спастись от печальной участи и не быть съеденными, тролли вынуждены скрываться. Они строят свои деревушки в таких местах, где их попросту не могут достать враги. Но однажды на это поселение был совершенно набег. Отбиться от монстров ребята не смогли. И поэтому большая часть жителей оказались в плену. Среди пленных был и Розовый король, а также его дочь. Правитель ужасно переживал о том, что его единственная дочь станет жертвой ненасытных бергенов. Он приложил массу усилий для того, чтобы спасти малышку и тех подданных, которым удалось выжить.
В особый день, когда принц Хрящ должен был съесть своего первого тролля, правитель со своими верными товарищами совершил побег. Когда об этом стало известно, король бергенов жутко разозлился. Ведь церемония взросления его сына была попросту испорчена. Его гнев полностью вылился на несчастного повара, который упустил пленников. И с тех пор монстры начали люто ненавидеть своих оппонентов и делали все возможное, чтобы заставить их пожалеть о том дне, когда был совершен побег.
Розовый король между тем делал все возможное, чтобы обезопасить деревню. Он узнал о том, что врагов привлекает музыка. И поэтому монарх был вынужден запретить шумные вечеринки. Спустя двадцать лет после этого печального события Розочка приняла решение заказать грандиозный праздник. Ведь много лет назад именно в этот день и был совершен знаменательный побег. По мнению красавицы, остальные селяне тоже должны об этом всегда помнить. А праздник мог помочь им вспомнить о тех событиях. Цветан был не в восторге от этой идеи
Он помнил слова правителя о том, что шумные вечеринки способны привлечь внимание их врагов. Вот только девочка отказывалась прислушиваться к его мнению
Как оказалось, зря. Ведь трагедия случилась. Существа напали на деревню и вновь похитили ее жителей. Чтобы спасти их, героиня вместе с Цветаном отправляется на поиски товарищей.
Объяснение концовки «Тролля»: что означает вывод монстра? Троллей много? Чем закончится?
Правительства по своей природе антигуманны. Итак, они решают эвакуировать Осло и поразить тролля ядерным оружием, прежде чем он доберется до города. Нора и Андреас, с другой стороны, изучают человека по имени Рикард Синдинг, поскольку его имя упоминается в дневнике Тобиаса. Андреас говорит, что Синдинг живет во дворце лорда-камергера (высшего чиновника королевского двора, дающего советы и помощь королю и другим членам королевской семьи). Нора помнит, что предсмертными словами его отца были «дворец», «дом» и «король». Достигнув дворца, Синдинг ведет Нору и Андреаса в подземную пещеру, заполненную массивными костями.
Пещера, по-видимому, была домом Короля троллей (это парень, который бродит по Норвегии), и Королевский дворец был построен на ней, чтобы утвердить свое господство. Вот почему она просит Крис организовать много ультрафиолетовых ламп, которые они будут использовать на Короле. Чтобы заманить тролля в это место, Нора и Андреас берут один из черепов, прикрепляют его к минивэну и заставляют бежать за ним, пока не доберутся до места назначения. Тем временем Сигрид (коллега Андреаса, обожающая «Звездный путь») получает доступ к компьютерной системе Министерства обороны, чтобы помешать самолету запустить ядерную бомбу.
Сигрид на мгновение удается избежать ядерной атаки, а Норе, Андреасу, Крису и их команде удается поймать тролля в ловушку ультрафиолетового излучения. Но когда кожа тролля начинает шипеть, Нора останавливает это и умоляет существо вернуться в горы. К сожалению, прежде чем он успевает сделать ход, в Норвегии встает солнце, превращая тролля в камень. Он падает на колени, а затем на землю. Нора разделяет с ним нежный момент и в конечном итоге называет созданную им гору «Тобиас Боулдер». Это хороший способ почтить память персонажа, потому что Тобиас был единственным, кто верил в троллей, когда никто другой не верил. Он единственный человек, который пытался обращаться с ним по-человечески, в то время как все остальные видели в нем угрозу. Теперь, когда норвежцы (в фильме) усвоили этот урок на собственном горьком опыте, мы можем только надеяться, что они будут действовать в соответствии с ним
