Why was Titans canceled?
As we know, James Gunn and Peter Safran has recently taken over DC Studios as co-CEOs. After their appointment, there have been a few radical changes in the DCU, owing to their elaborate 10-year plan regarding the franchise’s future.
However, this time James Gunn is not the culprit! The co-CEO recently addressed the cancelation of Titans on his Twitter account, where he said,
In other words, we’re not sure why exactly Titans was canceled, but the decision to cancel it was made before Gunn took over as CEO. The decision “precedes” Gunn and Safran, so we can say for sure that this has nothing to do with Gunn’s future plans with the DCU.

The merger of DC Studios’ parent company, Warner Bros. and Discovery could be one reason behind this, as this has led to the cancelation of several DCU projects. The Arrowverse is also more or less over at The CW, and James Gunn recently confirmed that he has no intention of continuing Legends of Tomorrow.
All in all, things are changing drastically for the DCU and Titans being canceled is a part of the same process. It does not fit into the DCU’s vision anymore.

Titans is known for its extensive line-up and season 3 is set to increase that further, thanks to the arrival of numerous fan-favorite characters from the world of Batman. Most notably, Savanna Welch has been confirmed to play Barbara Gordon (Batgirl), while Jay Lycurgo will suit up as Tim Drake, the third Robin.
More villains are incoming too, as season 2 guest star Blackfire (Damaris Lewis) will be bumped up to a regular member, alongside the introduction of Arkham Asylum inmate Dr. Jonathan Crane, aka Scarecrow. In April 2021, it was confirmed that Crane will be played by Vincent Kartheiser, best known as Mad Men’s Pete Campbell and Connor from Buffy spin-off Angel.
Cole King has been cast in an undisclosed role. It’s widely speculated that he is playing a much younger version of Jason Todd.
Titans Season 4 Episode 11 Ending Explained
Earlier, Conner had convinced Sebastian – whose entire personality seems to hinge on believing anything anybody tells him – to drink the blood of one of Mother Mayhem’s acolytes to take on some of her powers. So, when he goes to meet her at the Temple of Azarath, he’s ready for action.
Sebastian kills Mother Mayhem (again), which seems to be part of Conner’s plan. He lurks in the background and then throws the charged-up LexCorp sphere at Sebastian, which seems to defeat him.
Not quite, though. Sebastian rises into the air in his full supervillain regalia and blasts Conner with the full extent of his powers, sending him flying through some rubble.
The Titans, watching on a monitor, theorize that the sphere wasn’t strong enough. Dick shut it off too early. His attempts to avoid the destined fate of one of his friends seems to have resulted in the death of another, as the camera takes in a very dead-looking Conner.

Titans Season 3 Costumes
Following Dick Grayson’s transition into Nightwing in the Titans season 2 finale, other characters will assume new costumes and identities based on the books in the upcoming season.
Anna Diop will wear Starfire’s comic book costume, which has been requested by fans since the show’s start.
Blackfire, played by Damaris Lewis, will also suit up in order to go toe-to-toe with her sister.
As previously stated, Curran Walters’ Jason Todd will switch to Red Hood in Season 3.
